In Term 3 our network will be commencing an AGQTP Project, Enhancing Literacy and Numeracy Outcomes through eLearning.
During Term 2 a project steering team has been working behind the scenes to plan this project.
Here is a synopsis of the project: Project synopsis The aim of this project is to assist teachers to develop their capacityto incorporate more literacy and numeracy based eLearning experiences into their programs with the ultimate objective of improving student literacy and numeracy outcomes.
The project utilises the VELS levels to structure collaboration across the network primary schools and within these schools. Participants will be a learning conduit between their network team and their respective school level team. School-based VELS level teams, in consultation with a mentor, will develop an ICT professional learning plan which addresses the needs identified by the team.
Appropriate coaching / mentoring partnerships within and across the network teams will be identified. These partnerships engage in peer observation, team teaching and modelling.
Network team members will asked to commit to:
1. implementing a new ICT skill / practice in the classroom and 2. coaching school-based level team colleagues in this skill / practice AGQTP forms for data collection
